Why This Formula Works

We combined three botanical pesticide compounds; not a watered-down essential oil blend, but concentrated plant-based insecticides trusted in organic agriculture:

Thyme Oil (0.23%) acts as a broad-spectrum insecticide, miticide, and fungicide. Targets pests on contact instead of making them mildly uncomfortable.

Cinnamon Bark Oil (0.56%) is a powerful fungicide that disrupts pest activity while giving the spray its signature warm, spicy scent. Your apartment smells like fall instead of a compost bin.

Peppermint Oil (0.56%) creates a repellent barrier pests avoid. Refreshes leaves instead of coating them in greasy film.

Our Houseplant Pest Spray is safe for all indoor ornamental plants; tropicals, aroids, ferns, you name it.

A few ground rules:

  • Sensitive plants (succulents, orchids, cacti, snake plants) need extra care. Spray in the early morning, let sit for up to 10 minutes, then rinse or wipe thoroughly and keep out of direct light until dry.
  • Always spot test a small, hidden leaf first if you're worried. Wait 24–48 hours before full application.
  • Wipe or rinse within 10 minutes to remove residue and dead pests. This step matters — it prevents buildup and keeps stomata clear.

One thing to note: more isn't always better. Overuse can cause leaf spotting or burn, especially on delicate foliage. Follow the recommended frequency (every 5–10 days for active infestations) and let your plants rest between treatments.

One 8oz bottle fully treats the foliage, stems, and soil of about 10–12 plants in 6" pots with a bit left over for spot treatments.

How to use:

Shake Bottle

Shake well before use and periodically while spraying. This keeps the natural oils evenly distributed for maximum effectiveness.

Unlock Sprayer

8oz: Press the button until it clicks to unlock. 16oz: Remove the cap and attach the sprayer by inserting the straw and twisting on.

Spray Away

Mist all leaf surfaces (tops and undersides) until evenly coated, but stop before droplets drip. Wait up to 10 minutes, then wipe or rinse away residue. Spray in the early morning and keep out of direct light until dry.
Note: You may rinse with water in lieu of wiping excess spray + pests.

Mealy Bugs

Saturate stems, leaf joints, and hidden crevices thoroughly. Wait up to 10 minutes, then wipe away cottony masses and residue with a clean cloth. Treat twice per week. If crawlers reappear at the soil line, lightly mist the top ½ inch of soil daily for 5 days. Continue for 4–6 weeks minimum.

Fungus Gnats

Focus on the soil surface- skip the leaves unless you're also treating a foliar pest. Lightly mist the top ½–1 inch of soil daily for 5–7 days, then reduce to 2–3x per week. Let soil dry fully between waterings. Use for 4 weeks minimum.

Spider Mites

Thoroughly coat the tops and undersides of leaves- spider mites love to hide underneath. Wait up to 10 minutes, then wipe to remove mites, eggs, and residue. Repeat every 5–7 days until you see zero stippling or webbing for 3 consecutive checks. Boost humidity and isolate infested plants. Continue for 3–4 weeks minimum.

Scale

Spray directly onto each scale (the raised bumps), focusing on leaf undersides and stems. Wait up to 10 minutes, then wipe or gently scrape off with a cloth or cotton swab. Inspect and treat weekly for 6–8 weeks minimum- scale crawlers emerge in waves. Continue biweekly checks for 4 additional weeks.

Thrips

Spray both sides of all leaves weekly, focusing on new growth and blooms. Wait up to 10 minutes, then wipe. Lightly mist the top of the soil 2–3x per week for 2 weeks to target pupating stages. Continue for 3–4 weeks minimum, then every 2–3 weeks for prevention.

Aphids

Saturate new growth and leaf undersides- aphids cluster on soft tissue. Wait up to 5 minutes, then wipe off insects and honeydew. Repeat every 5–7 days until no nymphs or adults remain. Continue preventive sprays every 2 weeks for 2–3 additional weeks if plants push new growth.

Whiteflies

Mist the entire plant weekly, emphasizing leaf undersides. Wait up to 10 minutes, then wipe to remove nymphs and honeydew. Place yellow sticky traps near the canopy to intercept adults. Continue for 4–6 weeks minimum, then biweekly checks for 2–4 additional weeks.
